 What is Kanlungan sa ERMA?

It is a non-stock, non-profit
child caring agency serving
children-in-need of special
protection in the Ermita-Malate
areas.

It was established in January
1988 in response to the growing menace of abuse and exploitation among street children.

The word "Kanlungan" means sanctuary or refuge. ERMA stands for Ermita-Malate (the former red light district areas)

It is...

- a Christ-centered organization founded on God's love to serve children in-need and their families

- composed of dedicated staff ministering and serving faithfully, guided by the values of unity, love, faith in God, commitment, open communication, humility, justice, respect, acceptance, hardwork, zealousness, generosity, honesty, flexibility and teamwork

 

It is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of men and women who understand social responsibility and justice, men and women who are committed and dedicated to serve the less fortunate children.

It is registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and is licensed by the DSWD.
